The plain type is made of indigo-dyed “sashiko,” a traditional Japanese textile. The warp threads are dyed black, and as they change over time, a gradation of indigo and black can be enjoyed. The pattern is dyed with indigo dye, and then the pattern is pulled out by nukizome, and the color is added afterwards. An open collar shirt is made from this fabric. This shirt is suitable for the Japanese summer. The indigo color will change over time.
